Election for National Committeeman and National Committeewoman
Saturday, March 21, 2020
Our Oregon National Committeeman and National Committeewoman are elected at our first State Central Committee Meeting in the Presidential Election Year.
State Central Committee Members will vote for these positions on Saturday, March 21st at our Winter/Spring State Central Committee Meeting.
A candidate for National Committeeman and National Committeewoman must be a registered Republican in Oregon for at least 180 days prior to the Primary Election (November 21, 2019.)
If you would like to be a candidate for either of these positions, you must notify the Oregon Republican Party State Central Committee 45 days prior to the election (Wednesday, February 5, 2020.) Notification must be sent to our Secretary, Becky Mitts, at becky.mitts@oregon.gop.
Things to know about this position: Along with our Chairman Bill Currier, Our National Committeeman and National Committeewoman represent Oregon as members of the RNC. Like all elected positions within the ORP, this is a working position and you will take on various responsibilities both at the state and national level. In addition, these positions require you to travel at your own expense (airfare and lodging.) In 2019 meetings were held in New Mexico, Washington DC, and North Carolina.
