I have been berated for my statement that Bev Clarno, because she was appointed SofS, cannot become governor in the (unlikely) event Kate Brown is recalled. For you name callers, did the ORP not mention this important nuance? Bev herself told us this, and it has been confirmed by her office: Democrat Progressive Treasurer Tobias Read would succeed Kate Brown. If that’s not good enough, see Article 5, Section 8a of the Oregon Constitution. Stop accusing me of Fake News. Talk to the ORP if you are annoyed. (And yes, Lars Larson got it wrong).
